SEA SPRING RESORT.
Sea Spring Resort is nestled in Mainit, Mabini, Batangas. It provides a perfect escape from the hot and busy life in the city for people living in the surrounding area. Especially for my fiancé and me, because it is very close to my family´s home and we had lovely 30 degrees in December 😉
WHAT AWAITS YOU AT THE SEA SPRING RESORT?
The first time I have visited Sea Spring Resort was in 2015. My aunt showed my Austrian friends and me this newly opened spot, which is located near the ocean. Back then, we spend a whole day enjoying the main attractions, foremost the swimming pools (fresh and seawater) or dipping in the hot spring bath, also filled with seawater heated by natural springs. I know it sounds super crazy to get in a giant hot tub in this tropical heat, but you will absolutely enjoy it B-)
Based on that experience, in December 2019 my fiancé and I decided to visit Sea Spring again. This time we went for the complete wellness experience. Besides relaxing in the pool area, we enjoyed lunch & dinner with an amazing ocean view, a one-night stay in a „Twin Bed Room“ (including a traditional Filipino breakfast), where we finally treated ourselves to a full body message before departure.
OVERALL IMPRESSIONS.
Overall, we had a great time at Sea Spring Resort. Since our stay was scheduled during the week (Monday to Tuesday), the resort was not too crowded. If I remember correctly, I didn’t even count 50 guests in total. Compared to the size and capacity of the Sea Spring Resort, this made our stay even more relaxing and comfortable 🙂
Every dish we ordered from the menu was delicious. The ingredients and the taste absolutely reflected the authentic, fresh and tasty Filipino style. That’s why the food was one of the reasons for us to come back again, with the enchanting ocean view as cherry on top.
The staff is well trained, customer-oriented and very friendly. When encountering a staff member, they will greet you every time and be happy to assist you with any question or request.
The cleanliness of the entire site is outstanding and well monitored by the staff on a regular basis throughout the day. In particular, the pool area is carefully maintained and the water is exchanged on a daily basis, which my fiancé and I value very much.
Our „Twin Bed Room“ was on the Ground Floor without the ocean view, but it didn’t bother us at all, since we enjoyed the view all day long ;-). Compared to European standards, the room was OK for one night. The interior was mediocre and offered the usual standard: open shower, spacious sink, toilet with flush, clean towels and slippers, two beds with clean sheets and cupboards in front of them. In our case, I was happy that we didn’t stay more than one night, because the room was not comfy enough for my taste. There were scratches on the wall and it looked very shabby in general.
ALSO GOOD TO KNOW.
The customers of Sea Spring Resort are mainly composed of Filipinos (about 80%), followed by South Koreans (about 10%) and other visitors from countries like USA, Canada or European countries. Please keep in mind that the weekends are always fully booked, since – as I mentioned in the beginning – it is a perfect spot to escape from the busy life in the city.
JOY(NT) VENTURE TRAVEL TIP.
In case you are on a trip across the Philippines and happen to be nearby, I can recommend the Sea Spring Resort as a nice stopover. Nothing more, nothing less 🙂
